Аннотация
This article aims to show the hybridising adstratum influence of the Slavic languages on Yiddish and, in particular, the presence of Slavic adstratum elements in Yiddish prefix system (homonymous and hybrid polysemous prefixes) and prefixed verbs. The hybrid Yiddish language arose through an adstratum-based interaction between its basis and donor languages, because the Yiddish-speaking Ashkenazim were not assimilated by the Germans as the source language speakers and the Slavs as the donor language speakers. The hybridisation of the Yiddish prefixed verb system took place under a systemic influence of the donor languages on its basis language, when the Slavic and Semitic word-formation models and contents transferred to the German forms, and the Yiddish prefixed verb system was largely slavicised.
